Electra Hospital Management System Now Reached in Rural Areas

Rural hospitals have always experienced a shortage of physicians and the proper care, mostly rural healthcare are under financial stress and conditions are unfavourable as compared to the urban hospitals. Although many programs are run by the government but due to lack of implementation desired results are not achieved. Even in private sector healthcare is often confined to family planning and do not extend to more critical care like labour & delivery.

Management at Ayodhya Eye Hospital (AEH) in U.P. under the aegis of Mani Mandir Seva Nivas Samiti (hospital trustee) created a unique example. In such conditions, AEH has taken up a bold step and has gone a step further. They have decided to manage the hospital with the help of hospital management information system. Despite facing adverse situation including low IT literacy amongst the users and resistance from staff members, finally, the HIS was implemented at three more locations, Basti (hospital), Khalilabad hospital, Kumar gunj (vision center), and Tanda (vision-center).
